URL semplificati

Ho cercato di attivare l'opzione URL semplificati, ma mi dà sempre errore.
Sto usando Drupal 5.1 e ho appoggiato il lavoro in Aruba.
Come posso fare?
E' possibile rinominare le pagine ed evitare node/1 ecc... ?
Mi potete aiutare?

Ciao ho lo stesso problema: ho appoggiato il sito su aruba che non mi fa utilizzare il file .htaccess
su cui sono presenti delle impostazioni di configurazione.
Superato questo primo problema ho provato ad attivare gli URL semplificati senza riuscirci.
Come hai fatto a risolvere il problema?

Non so se dipende da .htaccess, però avendo anch'io riscontrato lo stesso problema in Aruba, non l'ho eliminato, ma l'ho sostituito con un altro.
Ho aperto il file .haccess e poi con Blocco Note, l'ho svuotato e dentro ho copiato questo:

Poi, sempre su suggiremento di altri, con Blocco Note ho creato un file di testo e dentro ho ricopiato questo:

Ho salvato con nome "php.ini" e l'ho messo nella root principale.
Quindi ho rifatto la procedura da Amministra >Configurazione del sito>URL semplificati e tutto ha funzionato.
